In childhood, we express the natural ease and spontaneous playfulness of our authentic, unique selves. Our minds may forget, and our bodies remember. Through Essential Motion, Karen Roeper's original and inspiring work, Diahna Fortuna reconnects us with the body as our source of aliveness, creativity, and wisdom. Watching us move, Diahna's perceptive and compassionate eyes observe where our bodies are stuck and support us in discovering where they are free.
Classes and workshops include mindful exercises that call us back into our bodies, reconnecting us to our own center and to the ground under our feet. In group classes, over time, participants gently expand awareness to allow mirroring, witnessing and interweaving energies in dynamic motion, practices that enrich and transform how we experience our place in the family of things. Diahna's individual coaching includes gentle queries and suggestions that lead participants to a place of internal listening, helping us discover and remember how we long to move. In this deep dialogue between the body and its expressive movement, we dissolve unconscious holdings and move past the constraining beliefs of our lives. We find the courage to express who we truly are.
Through Essential Motion, we gain access to our true source of wisdom, the body's intelligence. As we inhabit our bodies more fully, we move through our days with ease, power, and grace. We free our true selves and are able to move more wholeheartedly and powerfully towards our vision, goals, and dreams.

"Diahna's energy is buoyant and inspiring. Her strong support for however I am moving or feeling is steady and aware. Her Essential Motion classes never fail to loosen and free my body and let me inhabit space with more aliveness and confidence. Over time, the work has given me countless moments of connection and revelation -- I count her work among my most valued therapies." Catharine Lucas, Retired English Teacher & Writer
